Smith, Gambrell & Russell Attorney Thomas Wiseman Again Recognized by USPTO with 2019 Patent Pro Bono Achievement Certificate

ATLANTA (April 22, 安徽快3) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that firm Intellectual Property Practice attorney, Thomas Wiseman has been recognized once again with a 2019 Patent Pro Bono Achievement Certificate by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mr. Wiseman is among 74 volunteer patent practitioners recognized for individual pro bono achievement for reporting 50 or more hours of patent pro bono service to a regional patent pro bono program.

Mr. Wiseman is Counsel in SGR’s Washington, D.C. Intellectual Property Practice. His practice is primarily devoted to client counseling and patent prosecution, including interferences and reexaminations, in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and chemical arts. Mr. Wiseman is a Martindale-Hubbell AV Rated attorney and has been a member of the American Bar Association, American Chemical Society, American Intellectual Property Law Association, American Association for the Advancement of Science, American University Technology Managers, Biotechnology Industrial Organization, Intellectual Property Owners Association and Licensing Executive Society. In 2017, he was recognized as an “Attorney of the Year” by the Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, which operates the Georgia PATENTS pro bono program.

The Patent Pro Bono Program matches volunteer patent professionals with financially under-resourced inventors and small businesses for the purpose of securing patent protection. The continued efforts of patent practitioners across the country have strengthened the success of the Patent Pro Bono Program since 2015. To date, over 1,600 patent professionals have volunteered their time and resources to help make the Patent Pro Bono Program a success.
